Points of Failure
Welcome to the Points of Failure podcast, where we talk about the quiet ways things break down, and what it actually means to take responsibility without losing yourself.
Through conversations with others and topical episodes, we examine the patterns behind failure in work, relationships, identity, and decision-making, without shortcuts or easy answers.
Whether you’re reflecting on past mistakes, wrestling with something unresolved, or noticing a pattern you can’t ignore anymore, each episode is an invitation to look honestly at what went wrong, and what comes next.

On this episode, we talk to J Haleem Washington, author, business coach, and corporate trainer. He went from working for $8.00 an hour at the Hampton Inn to earning 6 figures as a Commercial Photographer in just a few years. He accomplished all this while being a convicted felon. While working for $8.00 an hour he developed his mantra #IWon’tStarve, which was the catalyst for him to leave his job after only one year. Over his career, he’s been able to work with Nike, the Save The Children Foundation, NFL, Amtrak, and The WNBA.
He's since been pardoned and is now a best-selling author and motivational speaker.
The platform he created, #IWontStarve, catalyzed his business growth, and he uses the #IWon’tStarve message to encourage and motivate students, entrepreneurs, and career-oriented individuals. His goal is to inspire you to build a platform to ensure that U Won’t Starve.
We discuss drive, personal impact, and not having a plan b.
